Playstation 3 owners hating the fact that you have to replay your games for trophies, may rest easy now. From January 2009 onward, developers must include trophies in all future titles. This coming from Videogamer, who seems to have gotten official word from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.

Today a Sony Computer Entertainment Europe spokesperson confirmed that this information is accurate, stating: "Yes from Jan 09 all games must have trophies."

This will then eliminate the need for a patch to add in trophies.

Already it seems that gamers are having trouble with their famed shooter, Halo 3. Thanks to the option of harddrive installs for games, Bungie warns though, that you shoudn't install Halo 3 on your consoles as it would make the title run slow.

"Please be aware that installing Halo 3 to your HDD will actually result in longer load times and thus a less optimal experience than if you run the game from the disc drive," the company said on its website.

ComputerandVideogames was able to get some quotes from the popular devloper.

"This happens due to the way Halo 3 already uses a HDD to cache data and once you do an install, you are copying between two different areas of the same drive as you are loading a map," it explains.

"If you just plan to play campaign or offline content, you may feel that the tradeoff is worth it in order to have a slightly quieter Xbox 360 and reduced impact to your disc drive. However, if you play Halo 3 online, please be aware that increased map loading times can have a negative impact to everyone's experience.

So, you've been warned Halo users....you've been warned...

Isotx, an independent game developer, has announced that its latest PC game Iron Grip: Warlord will be available for digital download this week. The free demo is currently available and allows gamers to play on the first level and upgrade to the retail version at anytime.

Many of you may have heard of Isotx from their total conversion modes for Generals Zero Hour and Half-Life 2, Iron Grip for HL2 and Mid East Crisis for Generals. The introduction of Iron Grip: Warlord is this company's first foray into the world as being a developer of independent commercial games.

"We have grown up on gaming, it is in our DNA, so the jump from modding to commercial games was the next natural step for us," stated Isotx Lead Game Designer Vincent Van Geel. "We're all very excited, and of course a bit nervous, as we transition into the highly competitive commercial game business. Our plan is to develop a series of games, all situated like Warlord is, in the Iron Grip Universe."

According to the company, Iron Grip: Warlord is a blend of real time strategy and first person shooter gameplay that contains both single-player and multi-player co-op levels. Players assumethe role of an underdog faction as they fight against the imperialistic Confederation forces. To do this, gamers must build defensive structures and fight off the hordes in first person mode.

You can check out some screenshots after the jump or head to  www.igwarlord.com for more information.
