Are you attending Comic-Con this year in San Diego? If so, you'll be happy to know that Capcom has put the word out that Lost Planet 2 will be playable on the show floor to the public. You'll get the chance to play in one of the Salamandor boss fights from the game.
Lost Planet 2 picks up 10 years since the events of the original adventure and the landscape has evolved dramatically. With the success of terraforming activities, the planet’s ice has begun to melt, giving way to lush tropical jungles and other new environments. The story has advanced beyond Wayne Holden as players will now follow the exploits of their own customized snow pirates on their quest to seize control of E.D.N III. Players will move their heroes through different stories creating a truly unique and interactive experience. With this concept, gamers will have the opportunity to engage in the story in a more dynamic way as plot threads evolve from various perspectives.
Also as part of a treat, Capcom will also be giving away a Salamandor plushie as seen in the image above. Lost Planet 2 will be releasing for the Xbox 360, no release date has been set yet.

|
|

Pre-order bonuses seem to be the way to go in this industry recently, and Halo 3: ODST is no exception. Bungie & Microsoft will be giving you an exlcusive character if you pre-order the game, and no, this isn't a Gamestop exclusive. If you pre-order the game you'll receive the stalwargt sargaent of the Halo series, Sergeant Avery Junior Johnson.
Fan favourite and “Halo” series stalwart Sergeant Avery Junior Johnson is a tough-as-nails career Marine who has been in more life or death battles than you've had hot meals. He’s survived more infectious Flood outbreaks, greased more Covenant bad guys, and earned more medals than any other twenty soldiers. And now you get to walk a mile in his shoes.
Don't forget that Halo 3: ODST drops into stores on September 22nd and you'll also get access to the Halo: Reach MP Beta as announced from E3 2009. Halo: Reach won't be launching in stores until sometime in 2010. Check out more screenshots below as well as some info about Halo ODST's new co-op mode Firefight. |

|

Which I'm sure a lot of you probably noticed, Xbox Live was down yesterday. But if you haven't, Xbox.com got a complete overhaul on its Xbox LIve profile pages. Everything looks much sleeker now, displaying more information and making it easier for the user to browse around and navigate the site.
Some features include: showing your Avatar right on the front of the page as well as your recent friends list, achievments, and recently played games. If you highlight one of your friends you get a detailed mini-page where you can compare games, send messages, and view their profile.
The menu on top allows for the normal features of Xbox Live, such as seeing your friends list, messages, recently played games and your "My Xbox." Xbox.com is starting to look more and more like the Xbox Dashboard on the console, further integrating the site with the console. |
