Those of you who are PC gamers should already be familiar with Nvidia's PhysX, but Nvidia has just announced that the physics technology will be heading to the Playstation 3. Developers who are interested in incorporating PhysX into their games can download it from the SCEI Developer Network.
“NVIDIA is proud to support PLAYSTATION 3 as an approved middleware provider,” said Tony Tamasi, senior vice president of content and technology at NVIDIA. “Games developed for the PLAYSTATION 3 using PhysX technology offer a more realistic and lifelike interaction between the games characters and other objects within the game. We look forward to the new games that will redefine reality for a new generation of gamers.”
The source code PhysX SDK for PS3 and all major gaming platforms are available for license directly from NVIDIA. For more information on licensing PhysX SDKs or NVIDIA PhysX technology, please visit: www.nvidia.com/physx.

Possibly being the answer to Activisions, Prototype, inFamous has officially been dated by SCEA. The game which is being developed by Sucker Punch, will be shipping exclusively for the Playstation 3, which I'm sure you already knew about. What you might've not known is that the the game has been slated for a June release this summer.
Players will experience what happens when a real person suddenly starts developing super powers. Will they exact revenge, protect the innocent or do little of both? These are the situations gamers will face when immersed inside a richly interactive and organic living city. A place where actions create broader reactions in the citizens and landscape around them. inFamous lets players unravel an evolving mystery, experience fame and/or infamy and battle powerful, iconic villains…all the while feeling what it is like to become a modern day superhero.
The demo will be released on the Playstation Network shortly before the game ships to stores. Apparently there will be further details to come on how one will be able to get a hold of the demo. My guess is possible a pre-order incentive before the actual release of the demo. This is of course going by how Killzone 2 got this treatment.
If you were thinking about Killzone Liberation, then at $15.99, it sounds like a pretty good deal, doesn't it? WIth Killzone 2 hitting the store shelves you would probably consider that if you had no other way of getting Killzone 2 of course. Another addition to the update is the Prince of Persia 'Epilouge' that is said to bring an interesting beginning to the new face of the Prince. Here's your list of updates from the Playstation Blog.

For those of us in the US, Flower will be releasing in the PSN update later today. Words cannot begin to describe what this game is all about. The developers themselves title Flower as a video game poem and looking at the trailer below, it wouldappear that way. I will be purchasing this title myself later tonight and I'll be giving my first hand review of it in the coming days.
So, despite this not being Thursday, Sony has decided to give PlayStation gamers a chance to experience what is Resident Evil 5 by making available a demo that was exclusive to the Xbox 360 last week. Shawn Baxter from Capcom explained the changes that RE 5 went under during development on the PlayStation Blog.
For those new to the series, the controls can seem a bit different than you may expect. The RE brand has always forced you to take your time, stop while shooting, and conserve your ammo. It really helps add a sense of tension a normal shooter can’t offer. But to help those who are new to the world of RE, we have new control types that ease things up a bit. My favorite is Type A, which is probably best if you’re a fan of the previous games, especially RE4. Next on my list is Type D, which I find myself loving more and more. Type D is best if you’re new to the game, and it offers something the others don’t… Strafing! May seem like a simple thing, but in a game as tense as RE5, it can really help in those situations where you have little time to react.

The exclusive DLC for Mirror's Edge, the Time Trial Map will be heading to the PlayStation Network soon as an exclusive it seems, at least according to the PlayStation Blog for now. The blog has posted this new trailer for the DLC and as we gaze in wonder at how these floating platforms are even possible to hang around on.
The full time trial map pack will be made available in Feburary but it seems that the PlayStation 3 will have one map as an exclusive to the console before everyone else. You'll be able to download it tomorrow...
