Warhammer Online Can Run on Five Year old Computers?
Windows PC | July 30, 2008 11:16 am

According to the Warhammer Herald, it would appear that Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning can run on five year old computers. The minimum system requirements they posted are:

For Windows XP
- 2.5 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
- 1 Gigabyte RAM
- A 128 MB Video Card, with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
- At least 15 GB of hard drive space

For Windows VISTA
- 2.5 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
- 2 Gigabyte RAM
- A 128 MB Video Card, with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
- At least 15 GB of hard drive space

According to these minimum requirements, Warhammer would be able to run on a 9800 Pro. For those of you who don't remember, the 9800 Pro was released almost five years ago. You heard that right, five years ago. EA Mythic has even stated that they are trying to optimize the game even more. Even if we take into account the speed of the processor and the amount of ram, it would not have been very uncommon to see some high-end PC's with a Pentium 4 at 2.5Ghz or faster and 1gb of ram or more. Good job EA Mythic.
