Gamers interested in the latest installment of the 194x series can now download 1942: Joint Strike from the Playstation Network or Xbox Live. The game is available for 800 MS points or for $9.99 on the PSN.

Staying true to its roots, 1942: Joint Strike is a top-down vertical plane shooter. If you haven't played the previous games in the series, then you have been missing out on some of the fun blasting action that it provided some of us early in our gaming careers. This version, of course, has revamped graphics, sound, etc, but still gave me a feeling of nostalgia when I watched the trailer.
