New Beginnings: The Month of June in Review
Posted December 31, 1969 by Brendan Weitzman
Without a doubt,
June was a huge month for those of us here at GamePlasma. Not only did
we witness GP?s launch on the 16th, but ForumPlasma, our active forum
community, was also brought to life.
As we look to continue launching sites on our gaming network over the
summer, these two milestones will surely be looked back upon as what
started it all. Everyone involved with GamePlasma, from our coder and
graphics designer to the editors, news reporters, and writers to Tim,
our glorious leader, has put in massive amounts of effort. It was a
great event for us to see the product of all our labors come to
fruition.
The sites launching was only part of what happened here for us in June.
We witnessed our community grow by a sizable amount, both in the forums
and on the GP staff. Our talented and devoted all-volunteer team of
writers, editors, news reporters, and other staff members is bigger
than ever. Our archive of reviews is quickly ballooning, including some
of the hottest titles on the market. We?ve seen our first previews,
covering what will be the must own games of tomorrow. Daily news
postings cover all that?s new in the world of gaming. Even a few
editorials have sprung up on the site.
Over the next few months we expect to see much more of the same here at
GamePlasma, as we work the final few kinks out of our systems and fill
out our database of games, only everything will be coming bigger and
better than ever before. What you can expect from us is that as gaming
progresses towards the next level, we will be right there to deliver
straight to you the next generation of game information. For all of us
June of 2003 has been an awesome ride, but part of a road trip we?ve
only just begun.
