One of the most anticipated titles to be released this fall, Electronic Arts has announced that Spore has had 250,000 creatures shared online since its official release. EA seems to be a bit overwhelmed by the response and is quite excited as the launch for Spore draws ever closer. Spore will hit the Nintendo DS, PC, Mac and mobile platform, September 5th.  Anyone can jump in the fun and create their own alien life form.

“The response to the Spore Creature Creator has been overwhelming,” said Lucy Bradshaw, executive producer of Spore at Maxis. “The creativity and passion that the community is putting into their creatures is spectacular. The development team has spent the last 24 hours checking out the amazing creations racing in from all corners of the globe – with peak volume hitting more than 1,000 creatures being shared a minute.”
