2005 Brings Many Long-Awaited Changes to the GamePlasma Network
That's right, it's 2005 finally. And many of our long-time users may be asking "So where's this GamePlasma 2.0 you've been promising for the past 6 months?" Well to answer that, it's still being built. We've got a limited design and development team so it takes time to perfect things before putting them out. And we want GamePlasma 2.0 to run smoothly for you when we do launch it, which will be sooner than you think!

In fact, here's a small preview of GamePlasma 2.0 for those of you who haven't seen it yet:

New Design!

The new welcome page will include news headlines, featured article listings, and a "Recent" box which will allow you to flip through the past eight updates to the site, new game releases, and recent files on FilePlasma, which will be opening shortly after GamePlasma 2.0.

The new design also features our new network bar, which provides drop down menus to browse the entire network from one location, including individual forums. The new network bar will replace the old version across the entire network.

New Interact Menu

The new site will also have an all-new "Interact" section. This section will provide a poll, the latest threads on ForumPlasma, and a "Most Popular" games section which will be determined based on how frequently the game's PlasmaFile is accessed.

New Search and News Systems

We're also very excited about our new Advanced Search features. GamePlasma 2.0 will feature highly advanced search including searches by article type, publication date, filters for different consoles, and various types of word/phrase combinations (including word omissions). You will also be able to find News from a specific date using our new archiving system.

In addition to these listed changes we also have a few other surprises up our sleeves. And trust me, we've got big sleeves. We hope you enjoy the New Year and enjoy our new site when it comes! So make sure you bookmark your browsers for GamePlasma.com and check back frequently, because we're full of surprises.
