The Month of November in Review
Posted December 31, 1969 by Brian Becker
I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving.
I know I did, and November
has been yet another excellent month for the site, as well as the
gaming industry. Incase you have been living under a rock for the past
month, you should know that pretty much every major title of the year
has now been released with the exception of a few such as KOTOR II and Battle for Middle-Earth.
Also, the Nintendo DS debuted in November and is now virtually
impossible to purchase unless you were smart enough to pre-order it.
Don?t worry though, there will be plenty more of them available after
the new year for you to spend your Christmas money on.
As for us, well, it has been yet another record month for us (I hope I?m not sounding like a broken record, because I?m not making this stuff up) because we have nearly doubled our article output for this month than our previous high. Yes, we have been very busy keeping you up to date on all the latest releases. We had nineteen reviews total for November, and two previews. Half-Life 2 earned our highest score yet to be given to a game by us. GTA: San Andreas also earned one of our highest honors. Other notable scores include Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Halo 2, Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 and Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault. As for the others that didn?t fare quite as well as those ones, we had I of the Dragon, Medieval Lords, Blitzkrieg: Rolling Thunder, Space Interceptor: Project Freedom, The Nightmare of Druaga, Street Racing Syndicate (PS2), Street Racing Syndicate (GC), Def Jam: Fight for NY, Return to Mysterious Island, Vendetta Online, Atlantis Evolution, Street Fighter: Anniversary Collection, and Terrorist Takedown. We also previewed Everquest II, and Knights of the Old Republic II. This month expect more new content, and reviews of such games as Scrapland, World of Warcraft, Everquest II, Goldeneye: Rogue Agent, and many more. Also, December will see our first annual Plasma Awards feature, so be sure to check in near the end of the month to see what games we believe to be the best of the best in various categories. Have a very happy holidays everyone. See you next year! - Brian Becker Editor in Chief, GamePlasma.com |
