Activision has announced today that Guitar Hero III will be getting new DLC in the from of an unreleased Def Leppard Track. The unreleased single will be part of a three-song track pack that will give players the opportunity to play "Nine Lives" a full five days before the release of their new album on April 29th. The single is the result of Def Leppard's collaboration with Tim McGraw. 

The other two songs to be included in the pack are "Photograph" and "Rock of Ages."

Joe Elliott, lead singer of Def Leppard. Had this to say:

“Being involved with Guitar Hero is very exciting for us and adds a whole new layer of appreciation...I know from personal experience how much more you get into the music by playing the game - which is why we were keen to explore this opportunity.  Guitar Hero is extremely popular with all kinds of music heads, which includes a lot of our fans- and we think releasing ‘Nine Lives’ this way first is just fantastic!"

The new DLC will be available on April 29th for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles.
