Sega has announced today that all the internet rumors are indeed true. Sonic Unleashed  will be available on the Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Playstation 2. Unleashed will use a brand new graphics engine that Sega has named the "Hedgehog Engine." The new engine is supposed to provide a seamless transition from 2d to 3d environments. According to Sega, they have been developing the engine for the past three years, with the goal of introducing new gamers to the franchise and not alienating fans.
