Electronic Arts announced today the release of the expansion for their popular soccer game, FIFA 10, in the form of EA Sports FIFA 10 Ultimate Team for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. This popular game mode that started in FIFA 09 is available for 400 MS points on LIVE! or $4.99 on the PlayStation 3.

The original Ultimate Team expansion for FIFA 09 was wildly popular, with more than 35 million Gold, Silver and Bronze packs opened with over 50 million auctions from players in the game. More than 10 billion in-game coins were exchanged as well as players tried their hand at crafting the best soccer team in the world.

The expansion is half the price of the previous year's and also allows players to manage one or multiple squads online as they face up against other players in dynamically updated online tournaments.
