The game that was being teased this past week by Ubisoft was the latest sequel in the Ghost Recon franchise, Future Soldier. Now we all know the past Ghost Recon have taken us only a few years into the future, however, Future Soldier apparently promises us that we'll be going knee deep into future, almost Back to the Future stuff right here. The press release was short and sweet on this one which gave us this lovely description.
Created by the award-winning team behind Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter® and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter® 2, the game will feature cutting-edge technology, prototype high-tech weaponry, and state-of-the-art single-player and multiplayer modes. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will go beyond the core Ghost Recon franchise and deliver a fresh gameplay experience, with an unparalleled level of quality that will excite long-time fans and newcomers alike.
Ubisoft also wanted to remind us that a multiplayer beta will be taking place and players who purchase the upcoming release of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction will receive an invitation. The beta will begin this Summer 2010 and the game itself will be release this Holiday 2010, barring no delays like the Splinter Cell Conviction saga went through. Tom Clancy's Future Soldier will be releasing for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC. Just wanted to remind you that the beta will be taking place for Xbox 360 owners only.
