2k Games announced today that it's new Shooter/RPG, Borderlands is now available on store shelves today. The game features 4 player co-op and allows players via Xbox Live or PSN to join any game at any time for a multiplayer experience.

“The Borderlands team at Gearbox has brought together the things we know we love – co-op, skill-based action, character development and millions of guns – in a way we haven’t seen before,” said Randy Pitchford, president of Gearbox Software. “Borderlands is a great shooter that we can play alone or with friends. I think it’s the best video game we’ve ever made and I have never been more excited about a launch.”

Borderlands is now available for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 and will be released on PC in North America on October 26th. Check back later this month for GamePlasma's official review.
