Valve announced today that its second game in the Left 4 Dead series, Left 4 Dead 2 (L4D2), is now available for pre-order on Steam for PC users or from participating retailers for the PC and Xbox 360.

Those that need an incentive to pre-order L4D2 need to look no further as Valve has provided some tasty pre-order exclusives. Pre-ordering your copy of L4D2 will grant you early access to the L4D2 demo (coming October 27th) and an exclusive in-game item: the American baseball bat, one of the ten new melee items in the game.
