Between Guitar Hero and Rock Band both games have been pretty nice about having corss-software compatibility with the controller instruments. With the upcoming release of DJ Hero and Scratch: The Ultimate DJ you would think the process would work the same way. However, that is not the case. Destructoid got word from the Creative Director of DJ Hero, FreeStyleGames's Jamie Jackson.

"No," he says, after a short pause. "DJ Hero is DJ Hero. If someone needed to use our controller, then they would basically have to rip our game off."

So, there you have it. Confirmation that both DJ Hero and Scratch: The Ultimate DJ controllers will not work with each other. This isn't at all very surprising considering both are made by completely different developers and publishers.
