What You Might've Missed

Here are some news stories we might've missed from yesterday, as we play catch up into the weekend. Expect a couple of a reviews to be going live soon as well from Splosion Man, to Transformers. Here's what we found in our email.

-  Activision revealed Guitar Hero Van Halen coming soon to all platforms, check out the trailer on Game Trailers.

- The Batman: Arkham Asylum Demo was released yesterday on PSN (Thursday) and Xbox Live (Friday). It was certainly exciting, check back for our impressions later.

- For Guitar Hero World Tour, Eric Johnsons single “Camel’s Night Out” is now available on Xbox Live Marketplace for 160 MS points or $1.99 or 200 Wii Points. Just as a reminder, the Activision Music Track Pack which is FREE will be available next week, Awaken with “The Silence is Deafening,” “Nothing All the Time” by H is Orange and “I’ll Never Know” from Hundred Reasons. On August 20th "Dueling Banjos" recorded by Steve Ouimette is the final piece of downloadable content before Guitar Hero 5 launches on September 1st.

- Next week in Rock Band is the Gorillaz debut. Three tracks will make an appearance in the track pack; "Clint Eastwood", "Feel Good Inc.", and "Re-Hash". Also joining the frey are Janis Joplin's “Piece of My Heart”, Jefferson Airplane's “White Rabbit” and finally The Who's “Magic Bus (Live at Leeds ). The tracks will cost you 160 or $1.99 per track or $5.49 (440 MS Points) for the entire track pack. These will be available August 11th. Check out a list below of special tracks added for the Wii.

- Hearts of Iron 3 had its official website launched as well as a new trailer which you can check out on youtube here.

- The above image is the new boxart for Deep Silver's action-fantasy RPG, Risen. The game will be releasing on the Xbox 360 and PC.

Rock Band Unplugged Tracks for PSP®System 
Rock Band Unplugged fans will enjoy the addition of Iron Maiden’s “The Number of the Beast” and “The Trooper” to the 27 tracks already available via the Rock Band Unplugged in-game music store for the PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system.
