OnLive Won't Appear At E3
Posted May 19, 2009 by Jereme Puik

To those interested in what OnLive has to offer since hearing about it at the GDC earlier this year, unfortunately it won't be making an appearance at this years E3. Founder Steve Perlman, made this comment concerning its reasoning for not attending the show.

And, this is the main reason why OnLive won’t have a booth at E3 this year. More than anything, E3 is a retail-oriented conference, both for retail platforms and retail publishers, and OnLive is neither. You’ll hear and see plenty from us this year in the run up to our external Beta and launch, delivered directly to your home through your broadband connection.

So there you have it. OnLive will not be making an appearance at E3. While it makes sense that they would choose the Game Developers Conference to make the debut, one would've thought they would like to get the word out to the public in the greater eye. It's weird how life works that way, but hopefully we'll be hearing more about OnLive in the coming months.
