It was a matter of time when Activision was going to release a greatest hits or "Smash Hits" release of its Guitar Hero franchise. The games have spawned numerous spin-offs and sequels. Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it right? Activision seems to be printing money off the series and that's certainly not a bad thing. What can you expect from Guitar Hero: Smash Hits? Well, certainly the ability to play as a band for the first time with songs spanning from the original Guitar Hero onward. Check out this trailer below which officially dates the game and gives an idea on how long it will take gamers to save their pennies.
The game is dated for a June 16th release and will be out for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii and Playstation 2. Check out a portion of the track list below.
