Capcom has announced that the latest game in the Resident Evil series, Resident Evil 5, will have an unlockable mini-game called The Mercenaries.

"Following in the tradition of the previous RE titles, RE5 will have an all new unlockable The Mercenaries mini-game. In The Mercenaries, you’ll tackle modified levels from the story mode as enemies continually spawn with scarce ammo, fiercer enemies, and timed challenges which lead to a franticly visceral experience."

Resident Evil 5 will be released on March 13th for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
