Posted February 26, 2009 by John Meyer

Meridian4 announced this morning that they have signed a deal with independent developer Rake In Grass to assist them in getting their top-down action game, Larva Mortus, on digital distribution platforms such as Steam and Impulse.

"We heard of Meridian4's many accomplishments and great effectiveness in helping indie developers to get to Steam and other notable networks. This was an opportunity we simply couldn't miss." said Pavel Tovarys at Rake In Grass.

“Larva Mortus was another one of these titles that we couldn’t stop playing. Also, Rake In Grass has many games in its catalogue; each with outstanding production value and quality gameplay and Larva was no exception. We know that Larva Mortus will be an addictive hit with gamers.” said Andy Sher, CEO at Meridian4.

Larva Mortus is a top-down action game with a horror setting that plays very similarly to old-school hit, Smash TV. Players level up to increase their attributes as they explore dungeons to destroy a variety of horror-themed baddies. Missions are also randomly generated which heightens the replay value.

Larva Mortus is set to appear on Steam, Impulse, GamersGate, and other digital distribution platforms in the coming weeks. The game is already available at the official site along with a demo for those who are on the fence.
