In an effort to continue their "Open-Controller Philosophy", Harmonix and MTV Games are stressing that they are continuing with this mission. In their path is a patch that will eventually enable users with a Lips microphone to be compatible with Rock Band 2.

"Microsoft and MTV Games are working together to ensure that consumers will be able to use the wireless mics from Lips with Rock Band 2 after launch," the companies told MTV's Multiplayer Blog in an e-mailed statement.
