Today it was announced by Midway that Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe is now available in stores nationwide. The title being made available for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles both with a signature Kollector's Edition and Standard Edition. The Kollector's Edition will retail for $69.95 while the standard edition will be available for $59.95.

The special, limited-run North American Kollector’s Edition is delivered in special packaging and features an exclusive removable print designed by Alex Ross, one of the world’s most pre-eminent and respected comic book artists, as well as bonus video content and a 16-page comic book by DC Comics that chronicles the shocking, universe-shattering events that lead up to the in-game story mode.

This is the first time in the Mortal Kombat series that any Mortal Kombat game has received a "Teen" rating from the ESRB.

Some of the most popular characters from the DC Universe, like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and The Joker, go toe-to-toe against Mortal Kombat favorites, including Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Liu Kang, Sonya and more.  Featuring a brand new fighting system and unique intertwining storyline written by top comics writing team Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe combines spectacular multi-tiered fighting environments, such as Metropolis or the Batcave, with a compelling line-up of fighters to challenge and master.
