October NPD Numbers Are In
Posted November 15, 2008 by Jereme Puik
The report is in as the fanboys launch out of the opening gates of the race. Gamasutra who has always been on top of the analysis and of the industry released the numbers yesterday. In North America, the Nintendo Wii continues to dominate along side its money printing brother, the Nintendo DS. Will the Xbox 360 ever catch up?
Wii - 803,000
Nintendo DS - 491,000
Xbox 360 - 371,000
PSP - 193,000
PlayStation 3 - 190,000
PlayStation 2 - 136,000
It's also surprising that the Playstation 3 still has a ways to go to before it even catches up to the PSP. Of course sales of the PSP Brite have helped that cause.
Check out more below to view the software numbers as you come around the bend....It's a surprise twist in what is suddenly in first place, that's not a Nintendo product!
