In what seems to be a very surprising move, Harmonix has announced that owners of the original Rockband for the Xbox 360 will be able to transfer 55 tracks from the original Rockband disc for play in Rock Band 2. Beginning today, an update will be applied to Rock Band that will have an "export disc" tab under the Rock Band menu. Of course, this move will cost you $4.99 (400 MS points) and the patch will be required for any future DLC purchases. This brings the potential song list for Rock Band 2 into the 200+ range.
