Xbox 360 Sales Doubled as almost 3 million gamers play Halo 3 online.

Microsoft announced that Halo 3 has brought in over $300 million dollars in the first week alone after being released Tuesday, September 25th.  It is the fastest-selling video game ever.

Within the first day of Halo 3's release, gamers on Xbox Live played over 3.6 million hours combined of Halo 3, increasing to more than 40 million hours of combined gameplay by the end of the first week.

Total sales in the U.S. within the first 24 hours were recorded over $170 million, making Halo 3 the biggest entertainment launch in history.
