GameTrailers Hits All-Traffic High
Posted August 12, 2008 by Ryan Lodata
According to a recent press release sent out by GameTrailers, the website has announced that they have an all-time high for traffic. GameTrailers has provided a healthy set of statistics. Full statistical goodness after the jump.
From the press release:
GameTrailers hosted 725 videos from E3, with each one averaging over 46,000 views for a total of over 30,000,000 video views. The next closest competitor averaged barely over 9,000 views per video. Of GameTrailers' 725 videos, 681 were direct coverage from the show floor, 17 were GT exclusives, and the remaining 44 videos were original programming produced by GameTrailers, including popular shows such as "Bonus Round" and "GT's Best of E3 2008 Awards," which drew in total over 3,000,000 views.
GameTrailers eclipsed its competitors several-fold on coverage of key video game titles from E3. Ubisoft's Prince of Persia E3 trailer received 600,000 views on GameTrailers - 100 times more views than competing websites. Resident Evil 5, winner of GT's 'Best of E3' award, had more than thirty-five times more views. Bethesda's Fallout 3, EA's Mirror's Edge and Epic's Gears of War 2 all had similar results, with media views that were several thousand percent higher than other competing websites.
GameTrailers doesn't stop there. The figures for GameTrailers viewship were compiled by Steam Stats, GT's proprietary tool that will allow professionals to see which games the GT audience is interacting with the most. To check out Stream Stats, head to: http://stats.gametrailers.com.
