Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising Launches Today

Releasing this week on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Nintendo Wii and PC; Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising sees some new screenshots to celebrate the occasion.

Players will experience the intensity, diversity and claustrophobia of a modern conflict from the unique perspectives of an infantry marine, a helicopter pilot, a Special Forces officer or a tank commander, each engaged against the full force of the Chinese PLA on a scale never previously experienced in a military action title. Gameplay simulates an immense conflict between advanced forces and provides unparalleled scope with different military disciplines, vehicles and equipment for players to utilize.

New Xbox 360 Titles Hit Platinum Hits Status

Microsoft has officailly announced this week a new status change for several games. These games will be available at the Platinum Hits price as low as $19.99.

Grand Theft Auto IV: A powerful modern-day crime epic set in the most detailed sandbox environment ever created. Explore Liberty City as Niko Bellic, an Eastern European immigrant with a war-torn past in search of the American Dream. The dream quickly turns into a nightmare as he struggles to cope with his cousin’s mounting debt and the seedy underworld of Liberty City.  

 Streetfighter IV:  Brings the legendary fighting series back to its roots by taking the beloved fighting moves and techniques of the original Street Fighter II and infusing them with Capcom's latest advancements in next generation technology to create a truly extraordinary experience.

Also in celebration of these new Platinum Hits titles; participating retailers will be offering a "Buy One Get One Free"  promotion through October 2009.

The Nintendo Download: Discover the first Final Fantasy

The Nintendo Download hits this morning and gives us a chance to finally experience the original Final Fantasy from the original Nintendo. The game that literally kicked off the series and gave birth to what is now 13 games in the series. Only 3 total games this week including Final Fantasy, a short but filling appetite to get through the week.

Also as a reminder, if you purchase a Nintendo DSi before 11:59 PM PST on October 5th, you'll receive free 1,000 DSi Points. However, after that date the free ride stops and gamers will have to purchase Wii Point cards to keep up with any downloadable content. Wii Point cards work both ways between the DSi and Wii. If you purchase a DSi before that date, don't worry you can still use the points after the October 5th deadline. Check more info on the other two games below.

New Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 "Infamy" Trailer Released

Infinity Ward has released a new trailer for their nex title in the Call of Duty series, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The new trailer doesn't show much in the way of actual gameplay, but it does give further insight into the story behind their latest game. Be sure to check out the trailer above.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is currently slated for release on November 10, 2009 on PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

The Sabetour is coming up on release this December and here are some new screenshots to hopefully kick in your interest.

Left 4 Dead 2 Available for Pre-Order on Steam

Valve announced today that its second game in the Left 4 Dead series, Left 4 Dead 2 (L4D2), is now available for pre-order on Steam for PC users or from participating retailers for the PC and Xbox 360.
