War Machine Revealed for Iron Man 2 Official Video Game
Multi-Platform | February 4, 2010 12:25 pm

As with every big-budget comic book movie release an "official video game" is tied right along with it. With the Iron Man 2 movie fast approaching, Sega is quick to get the word out on the sequels video game counter-part. Here we have the character reveal trailer for War Machine who is also making an appearance in the movie.

We all know the original Iron Man video game didn't exactly sell well nor fair well according to critics. So, one can only wonder why Sega decided to green light this video game sequel. If only this title would've had the amount of time and dedication Batman: Arkham Asylum had, we could see Iron Man fans jumping for joy. Alas, I'll save the rest of my judgement for when the game gets in our hands for our review. For now, just enjoy the trailer folks.

Splinter Cell Conviction Release Date Set in Stone
Multi-Platform | February 4, 2010 7:16 am

In a weird set of coincindences, Ubisoft has revealed the final and official release date for the upcoming Sam Fischer adventure in Splinter Cell Conviction. The game's release date was set in stone and sent off to select media outlets revealing an April 13th, 2010 date. If you need a refersher on this years release, read on.

Sam Fisher returns as a fugitive and enemy of the state. Now Sam is being ruthlessly hunted by the very government he served, and the friends and colleagues he once knew may have masterminded the entire plot. Working outside Third Echelon puts Sam in the uncomfortable position of having to obtain vital resources via different means (aka the underground black market) as he learns to use the environment around him to his advantage.

Where light and shadows were key to gameplay in the original Splinter Cell, stealth action and improvisation help drive Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction, making it an adrenaline rush of blood-pumping chase sequences, close combat, crowd interaction with real-world dynamics and intense gun battles.

Will this be the final rally and will gamers finally get their hands on the highly anticipated sequel? Only time will tell this time.

Windows PC | February 4, 2010 6:40 am

The game that allowed you to create a live a virutal life has officially turned 10 years old today. The original Sims made its debut on Febuary 4th, 2000 and since then has grown with numerous sequels and expansions. It's one of the best selling PC games and has generated around $2.5 Billion in revenue in the same class as movies like Avatar, Titanic and even The Matrix Trilogy.

The success of The Sims is something gamers and the gaming business as a whole can be proud of. With its charming and quirky style, lovely emergent game mechanics and user created creativity that delights every day, The Sims is a game that can be enjoyed by everybody and reflects what you put into it," explained Rod Humble, Head of the EA Play label. "The future of The Sims is going to be a lot of fun; it is rare for an entertainment franchise to be gaining momentum a decade after release, so this is a particularly pleasant moment for everyone who has worked on the games."

Congratualtions Sims players and EA Games alike....the franchise is starting to become one of the longest running. Here's a toast as I'm sure we'll find out soon enough what the next expansion or sequel will be shortly.
