Playstation 3 owners get a bit of a treat today. Along with the release of NHL 2k9's demo, EA Sports has just announced that it's NHL 09 demo is live on the Playstation Network with the 360 version to follow shortly next month. Enjoy, as the hockey pre-season/season is close to getting under way!

Sony is pushing forward with a new announcement of another hardware prehibpreal addition. A wireless keyboard much in the fashion of the 360's version will be hitting Playstation 3 owners this fall. The new keyboard will lock straight into your Six Axsis controller for full support through your encounters online on the Playstation Network. This is all coming straight from Son'y Playstation Blog....
Lastly, we’ve announced a new Wireless Keypad for PS3 that will make text communications and Web browsing much easier. The Wireless Keypad snaps onto the top of a SIXAXIS or DUALSHOCK 3 wireless controller and comes with some cool features, including a mode that turns the main key area into a touch pad (similar to a touch pad on a Laptop computer). Once in this mode, you can slide your finger on this area to move the cursor on the screen and tap to enter. There will be two short cut buttons on the Keypad that will enable users to jump directly to the XMB’s “Friends” icon and the “Message Box” during gameplay. The Wireless Keypad will launch in late November.
At the Leipzeg Games Convention today Sony has announced new hardware prehipreals and a new Playstation 3 bundle all set to hit North America this fall. First up we have a new hard-drive announcement. The Playstation 3 will be going BIG, and by big I mean, 160GB big. This new hardware bundle includes Uncharted: Drakes Fortune and will sell for a price point of $499.99 and will hit North America this November...
The 160GB PS3 system announced at the GC will be available here as part of a new limited-edition bundle that includes the hardware, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune game, a PLAYSTATION Network voucher for PAIN, and a DUALSHOCK 3 wireless controller. We’re hearing from a lot of you that more PS3 storage space is important, particularly since the launch of our video delivery service, and this new model delivers more memory and a whole lot of content packed-in. Looking to dive into the world of Rapture that Xbox 360 owners were so excited to grab a hold of? Well, 2k Boston has just announced a release date for Bioshock hitting the Playstation 3 and will hit North America on October 21st. Bioshock will contain entirely new elements not seen in the Xbox 360 version and cater exclusively to that crowd.
Headlining the list of new features is the inclusion of the Survivor difficulty mode, Trophy support and the addition of all-new Add-On Game Content. Created exclusively for the PLAYSTATION 3 system version of BioShock, the Challenge Rooms will test the mettle of new and seasoned gamers by requiring them to utilize the knowledge and skills they have learned while traversing the halls of Rapture. The first Challenge Room will be viewable by appointment at Games Convention 2008 (CCL, Level 0, A02/1 + A02/2) from August 20 to August 24 and will be available for download shortly after launch.
Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty has officially been dated thanks to this news from the official Playstation Blog. You can expect the title to hit the PSN in North America on August 21st. Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty is a pirate-themed sequel to Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction. This means that the game will focus heavily on exploration and puzzle/platforming.

Straight from the book of cool-looking games, SCEA has released a trailer for The Last Guy on their official blog. The trailer shows off some of the aerial maps that you must navigate to get your fellow survivors to safety. When you watch the trailer, keep in mind that those are actual honest-to-goodness aerial photographs of various areas and cities.
Rockstar has released a brand new trailer for Midnight Club: Los Angeles. Midnight Club is a racing game being developed by Rockstar San Diego that is set for release October 7th in North America and October 10th in Europe on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. There will also be a PSP version of the game that will be released on the same day.
Just like with the Playstation 2 and Playstation Portable, Sony has launched its 'Greatest Hits' Line up. These are games that will be reduced in price by about half their current price. So, if you've waitied it out long enough to get these games, your waiting has finally paid off....
One of the long awaited shooters for the Playstation 3 is Killzone 2. The highly anticipated sequel that's been long in the making and is finally getting released in Feburary 2009. Not so far away, but at least we know when to expect it.
